Paris 2024 Olympic and paralympic games

Objective

Build a visual identity system for Visa’s global sponsorship of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. The system needs to be scalable across all mediums, and will be activated globally by Visa marketers and clients alike.

Design Strategy

We created a design system that was unique and own-able to Visa. By incorporating a wider color palette than the brand had historically been associated with, we brought life, excitment, and a fresh take on our sponsorship systems. I expanded the system across print, digital, out of home, video, social, and campaign assets. I worked closely with regional marketers to art direct the use of the system. Specifically in France with their campaign that incorporated local artists work into out of home creative across the city.

Role

I was the design lead for the creation and deployment of this visual identity system. I lead our agency through development, creating guidance and assets for identified gaps (social, motion, out of home), and art directing regional needs.

Milano cortina olympic and paralympic games

Objective

Adopt the Paris 2024 Summer Games visual identity system for the Winter Games 2026. The system should build on the recognition that was built across EU in the summer of 2024, while bringing a new dynamic and energetic feel to the Winter Games creative.

Design Strategy

Taking inspiration from Italian designers, artists, and architects. Themes of modernity, came through as inspiration from Massimo Vignelli. Creating a new core element, based on the Paris 2024 ‘Beam’ that allowed for more flexibility in use, and mimicked references to the environment of the games from the Milan skyline to the Cortina Alps.

Role

Designer, art director, project manager. I directed my own team in the creation of 4 different visual identity systems based on our brief. The system displayed below is my own ideation and designs.

Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026- Coming soon

Objective

Create a unique visual identity system, that is identifiably Visa, compliments futbol culture, and works across a variety of assets from large out of home, to digital banners, to hospitality experiences.

Design Strategy

For the first time, we have separated the iconic ‘V’ from the Visa brand mark as a symbol of it’s own. Rooted in our brand positioning of forward momemtum, we have built a frame system from the 22.75° angle that emerges from the right side of the ‘V’. The system promotes the energy of the game of soccer, and allows for flexibility across many platforms and business needs.

Role

Design lead for creation of the system in partnership with ADOPT agency, and managed the deployment of the system from end to end training, asset share outs, and consultation across regional creative.

Small book of small steps

In celebration of a new brand positioning, a Brand Book was created to inform, educate, and be used as a resource for marketers internally across Visa. With the intent to push the Visa brand forward, making it more relevant, more preferred and more loved globally. I acted as a consultant and production designer for the completion of the physical copy of this book, collaborating with our agency partners at Wieden+Kennedy to ensure excellence in print and representation of the design in physical form.
